Tobin will celebrate Dr. Seuss Read Across America Day on March 2, 2001 with a special challenge to our students. Each grade level has been challenged to read 500 books by March 2nd. If the students in each grade level read their 500 books we will celebrate by having a special HAT day on March 2nd in honor of Bartholomew Cubbins and His 500 Hats, a Dr. Seuss favorite.
We are counting books read in class, in the library and at home. Please keep a reading log of books you and your child have shared together. A reading log was sent home with each shild last week. When it is complete, send it back to your child's teacher and they will give them a new one.
We also plan on visiting storytellers, reading buddies, lunch of eggs and ham and a special appearance from none other than Bartholomew Cubbins!! Join in the fun and enjoy reading with your child.
