Team Roster: Varsity
| Janelle Blake,
Co-Captain

#1 Janelle returns as a second year starting point guard and team captain. She possesses the leadership qualities that every coach looks for when choosing a team’s captain. She embraced the responsibilities of being one of the captains and represents the CRLS Lady Falcons’ program on and off the court. Coach Ellcock hopes Janelle will have more confidence in her 3pt. shooting this year and continue to apply relentless pressure on the opponent’s point guards. |
| Jazmin Lee,
Co-Captain

#2 Jazmin (better known as “Jazzy”) is the team’s 3rd captain. Jazzy was on last year’s team as well but Coach Ellcock insist that she will have a pivotal role in the success of this year’s team. She is one of the team’s defensive specialist and might just be the fastest player in the entire program. She has worked very hard on her game and has proved to Coach Ellcock that she can hit her 3pt. shot consistently. Coach Ellcock wants her to utilize her speed to get out on the fast break to create easier scoring opportunities for herself and to put pressure on the defense. |
| Rasmiya Ferej

#3 Rasmiya is in her senior year as well. After taking a year off from basketball she came back strong this year and impressed the coaching staff at the 3-day tryouts. Sometimes it appears that she has not missed a beat. Coach Ellcock hopes that she will continue to work hard. She has the potential to be a very good defender and has a nice touch to her outside shot. |
| Yun-Ting Lee

#10 Yun-Ting is a senior in her 1st year on varsity. Coach Ellcock has always been impressed by her work ethic and followed her progress over the years. She has been part of the CRLS program all of the four years that she attended the high school. She is the epitome of a team player. Coach Ellcock is extremely happy that she decided to continue with basketball and he proud that she has earned awards for her achievements with the CRLS Varsity Volleyball team.
| Georgia Pingue

#21 Georgia was on last year’s team as well. As a starting small forward on this year’s team she will have the opportunity to show what she can do. She is another defensive specialist that will be called upon to harass the opponents’ best players. Coach Ellcock calls Georgia the team’s “X-Factor”. Not only can she give Jazzy a run for her money as the program’s fastest player, she is gifted offensively. When Georgia decides to be more aggressive on offense the rest of the league will be in trouble. During games it is not uncommon to hear Coach Ellcock remind her that no one can or has stopped her from getting to the basket. |
| Latia Cooper

#22 Latia is in her junior year and is presently the captain of the junior varsity team. Through her hard work and positive attitude Coach Ellcock and the rest of the coaching staff agreed that she deserved the opportunity to get called up to varsity. Coach Ellcock hopes that she will continue to work hard, improve her skill level, and be ready to take advantage of any opportunities that may come her way. |
| Aubree Andres

#23 Aubree is a 1st year varsity player in her freshman year. Coach Ellcock is no stranger to the potential that she possesses and totally agrees with hard work and discipline she can definitely contribute to the success of this year’s team. As Aubree becomes more and more comfortable we will see exactly what she can do. |
| Daneesha Barrett

#24 Deneesha (aka. Baby Dee) is another freshman who puts a twinkle in Coach Ellcock’s eyes when he thinks about the future of the program. With hard work, discipline, and preparation he knows that she will improve and mature to become a better player. Coach Ellcock would like to see her increase her aggressiveness and confidence levels. She is a “diamond in the rough”. |
| Dyamond Gardner

#25 Dyamond is a sophomore guard who is in her first year at CRLS. She has an innate ability of putting the ball in the hoop and is one of the most generous scorers Coach Ellcock has seen since the well-known Stephanie Darden, who is part of the 1,000 Pt. Scorers’ Club. Coach Ellcock wants her to continue to work on her fundamentals and improve her skill and game levels. With Dyamond on board the future of the CRLS program looks good but Coach Ellcock expects that she makes our team better now. |
| Georgia Kostopoulos

#30 Georgia (aka. Georgia K.) is a first year junior. Coach Ellcock couldn’t wait for the opportunity to coach her because he always admired her work ethic. She played on the CRLS freshman and junior varsity teams were she served as a captain on both. Besides her leadership attributes, her physical strength is nothing to be questioned. |
| Kimberly Simmons,
Co-Captain

#31 Kimberly is another returning captain from last year’s team. She leads by example. She is one of the hardest workers Coach Ellcock has seen come through the doors of the CRLS Lady Falcons’ program. He insists that you will never hear her complain. Kim will put pressure on the opponents’ forwards because she can step out and shoot 3pt. shots as if she was a guard. Coach Ellcock wants her to use her athletic abilities to be more of a presence in the post and on rebounding. |
| Mykaliah Best

#32 Mykaliah is in her junior year. After getting ample minutes as the back-up center on last year’s team Coach Ellcock looks forward to seeing what she can do as a starter. She works hard each and every day and has a great touch to her shot which is something that is very hard to teach a player. She takes criticism very well and when she puts her mind to it she can be a force in the middle. Mykaliah is also on the CRLS Varsity Volleyball team. |
