Fifth and sixth graders will be meeting for lunch several times this year to discuss books they have read from the nominated Massachusetts Children's Book Award program.
Each student has a chance to talk about a book they have recently read, usually with lots of feedback from other students. Our dessert is decided by some food item mentioned in one of the books.
We are also part of an online wikispace with five other Cambridge schools whose students are also reading the books. Being part of a wiki allows the students to write a review and discuss the books with other students.
