Annie Barrows, author of the "Ivy and Bean" books came to visit the Tobin School 3rd and 4th graders on May 12.
She shared her stories with the classes, talked about her experiences leading up to being an author and had a great guestion and answer period.
The students have been very busy checking out her books from the library since her visit.
One student asked, "Where did you get the ideas for your characters?". Ms. Barrows replied, "From all the people in my life, including me!"
Thanks to Porter Square Bookstore and the Library Media Department for providing this fun and exciting opportunity of meeting a popular author.
This is a great way to inspire reading and writing!
